This hand-painted plate is inspired by Canina con Biscotti by Giovanna Garzoni, a delicate 17th-century painting depicting a small, attentive dog in front of a plate of biscuits. True to her meticulous and naturalistic style, Garzoni captures the precise textures and details, from the dog’s silky fur to the golden cracks of the biscuits. The animal, with its lively and expressive gaze, seems to hesitate between patience and temptation, adding a touch of life and spontaneity to the composition. The simple background highlights the harmonious balance of the elements, showcasing the elegance and finesse characteristic of Garzoni’s work.

The design is created and hand-painted in the atelier in Paris.

A little note : Since each plate is hand-painted, the lines and colors may slightly vary. Each plate is individually hand-painted after an order is placed, ensuring a unique creation.
