This hand-painted plate is inspired by Horse Frightened by a Storm (1824-1829) by Eugène Delacroix, a work that vividly captures the animal’s panic and wild energy. Its tense movement, bright coat with vibrant touches, and distressed gaze convey the intensity of the moment. The horse’s flattened ears and unstable posture heighten its agitation, while the stormy sky in the background adds to the drama. Through this scene, Delacroix powerfully expresses the horse’s instinctive strength in the face of nature’s fury.

Each design is created and hand-painted in an artisanal atelier in Paris. 

A little note : Since each plate is hand-painted, the lines and colors may slightly vary. Each plate is individually hand-painted after an order is placed, ensuring a unique creation.
