This hand-painted plate is inspired by White Stallion (1810) by James Ward, where the horse is depicted with imposing majesty, embodying both power and elegance. Its bright white coat contrasts with the dark background, highlighting the detailed musculature and anatomical finesse of the animal. Its dynamic posture, with an arched neck and tense muscles, suggests restrained strength and energy ready to be unleashed. Its expressive gaze and slightly tousled mane add a touch of vitality, characteristic of Ward’s Romantic style, which here celebrates the nobility and wild beauty of the horse.
The design is created and hand-painted in the atelier in Paris.
A little note : Since each plate is hand-painted, the lines and colors may slightly vary. Each plate is individually hand-painted after an order is placed, ensuring a unique creation.
