This hand-painted plate is inspired by White Dog in Front of an Elderberry Bush (circa 1725) by Alexandre-François Desportes, which depicts an elegant white dog set in a natural setting. True to the artist’s style, known for his talent in capturing the grace and realism of animals, the painting highlights the finesse of the dog’s coat and the richness of the botanical details. The elderberry bush in the background adds a touch of softness and depth to the composition, creating a harmonious balance between the animal and its environment. This painting illustrates Desportes’ keen attention to textures and light, key elements of his artistry.

Each design is created and hand-painted in an artisanal atelier in Paris.
